26th of December 2022: private walking tour of Jerez with a visit to sherry bodega for 6pax

10am: meet your personal local host at Casa Palacio María Luisa in Jerez and start a private walking tour of the old town with a special focus on its Hispanic-Muslim origins and on the transformations that it experienced (architecture, urban-planning, social composition and overall character) with the Christian conquest in the 13th century and later in the 18th and 19th centuries when the local wines (sherries) became probably the most fashionable drinks in the world. Finally, you will be taken to one of the gipsy quarters of the city in order to learn why Jerez is considered the cradle of Flamenco music and how flamenco emerged from South West Andalusia, evolving throughout history until becoming the iconic form of art that it is today.

11:30am: end of your introductory walking tour of Jerez in a selected sherry winery for a private visit aimed at learning about the aging process of the different types of sherry. This will be followed by the corresponding tastings and by some basic notions about the local art of pairing food and sherry.

1pm: end of the visit to the bodega. After the tour your personal local host will give you recommendations of places to have lunch.

Confirmation and payments
In order to confirm this private tour we require a 30% deposit of the grand total via credit/debit card no later than the 11th of November 2022 via credit/debit card or bank transfer. The remaining 70% must be paid via the same method no later than 7 days prior to the start of the tour.

Cancellation policy
– If you cancel your tour more than 7 days prior to scheduled departure we will charge the 30% deposit only.
– If you cancel your tour between 7 and 5 days prior to scheduled departure, we will charge 50% of the full cost of the tour and we will refund the other 50%.
– If you cancel your tour between 4 and 3 days prior to scheduled departure, we will charge 75% of the full cost of the tour and we will refund the other 25%.
– If you cancel your tour 2 days or less prior to scheduled departure, we will charge 100% of the full cost of the tour.
