9am: meet your personal local host at your hotel in Seville (Hotel Alfonso XIII) and be transferred in a modern and comfortable Mercedes vehicle with a dedicated driver to the city of Jerez de la Frontera. Along the way, be explained
about the geography, history, lifestyle, culture and traditions of the city.
10:15am: arrival to Jerez de la Frontera and introductory walking tour of the old town aimed at learning about the hispanic – muslims origins of the city and about the transformations (architecture, urban planning, social composition and overall character) that it experienced in the 13th century with the Christian conquest and later in the 18th and 19th centuries when the local wines (sherries) became probably the most fashionable drinks in the world.
11:30am: end of you introductory walking tour in a selected sherry bodega and private visit aimed at learning about the making and aging of the different types of sherry. This will be followed by the corresponding tastings and by some basic notions about the local art of pairing food and sherry.
1pm: end of the visit to the bodega and free time for a quick light lunch at your own leisure.
2pm: end of lunch and private transfer to Cádiz. Explanations along the way about the very particular landscape, industries and eco-systems of the bay of Cadiz.
2:35pm: arrival to Cádiz and private walking tour of the old town with a special focus on the foundation of the city by Phoenicians 3000 years ago and on the period when the city held the monopoly of all trade with the new world, formerly established in Seville. During this part of the tour you will learn who the Phoenicians were, what brought them to Cadiz, what they brought to Cadiz and the impact that their arrival had in the course of the history, economy, agriculture, gastronomy and wines of Southern Spain. Then you will travel forward in time to the 18th century, when Cadiz was granted the monopoly of all trade with the new world. During this part of the tour you will see beautiful examples of colonial architecture and learn about the wealth, refinement and openness that the city accumulated in this period.
4:30pm: end of the walking tour of Cádiz and private transfer back to Seville.
6pm: arrival to Seville (hotel Alfonso XIII) and end of services for the day.

Confirmation and payments
In order to confirm this private day trip we require a 30% deposit of the grand total no later than the 20th of February via credit/debit card. The final 70% must be paid via the same method no later than 15 days prior to the start of the trip.

Cancellation policy
– If you cancel this tour more than 15 days prior to scheduled departure, we will charge the 30% deposit only.
– If you cancel this tour between 15 and 8 days prior to scheduled departure, we will charge 50% of the full cost of the tour and we will refund the other 50%.
– If you cancel this tour between 7 and 3 days prior to scheduled departure, we will charge 75% of the full cost of the tour and we will refund the other 25%.
– If you cancel this tour 2 days or less prior to scheduled departure, we will charge 100% of the full cost of the tour.
(*) Please note that partial cancellations won’t result in partial refunds. This applies to the group size and to the duration / activities of the tour.
