26th of February: private walking tour of Jerez (2,5h)
–
3pm: Meet your personal local host at your accommodation in Jerez and start a private walking tour of the old town with a special focus on its Hispanic-Muslim origins and on the transformations that it experienced (architecture, urban-planning, social composition and overall character) with the Christian conquest in the 13th century and later in the 18th and 19th centuries when the local wines (sherries) became probably the most fashionable drinks in the world.
Your tour will take you first to the quarters inside the old city walls to later show you and explain about the first suburbs that developed outside along with the bourgeois areas where sherry merchants erected the mansions and aging facilities that Jerez is known for today. You will also understand how Jerez became one of the most prosperous cities in Europe thanks to its wine making industry and how this prosperity came to an end leading Jerez to becoming the humble and relaxed city it is today but that keeps the pride and splendor of its golden age.

28th of February: Cadiz culture and gastronomy journey (5h)
–
9:30am: meet your personal local host at your hotel to start your private Culture and Gastronomy tour of Cadiz old town.
Founded by Phoenicians in the 11th century BC, the city of Cádiz has amazing surprises to offer to the adventurous traveler with a thirst for culture and gastronomy discoveries. You will start this tour seeing incredibly well preserved evidence of the Phoenician past of the city. This will allow you to understand who the Phoenicians were, where they came from, why they based themselves in Cadiz and the impact that their arrival had in the present history, economy, culture, gastronomy and wines of Southern Spain. Later, you will travel forward in time to the 18th century, when the city held the monopoly of all trade with the Americas, formerly established in Seville. The bourgeoisie that settled down in Cádiz in this period transformed the city completely into a refined and cosmopolitan colonial hub. These new inhabitants commissioned the construction of very impressive civil and religious buildings to prove their financial status. You will be taken to visit some hand-picked ones, to later understand that these merchants brought to Cádiz not only material wealth, but also new ideas and new foods from the New World, that slowly transformed the mentality and gastronomy of the city and later of the whole of Spain.
After this introduction and surely hungry, you will be taken on a gastronomy tour of the city including a stop first for a small tapa in the local market, then a next one in a selected local tavern where you’ll be introduced to the famous fortified wines that traveled from Cadiz to America and final stop for a tapas lunch in a local family-run and family-owned bar. Then you will be escorted back to your hotel.
2:30pm: end of your tour.

4th of March: 4th of March: Málaga Culture and Gastronomy tour (5h. 9:30am – 2:30pm)
–
9:30am: meet your personal local guide at your accommodation to start your Málaga Culture and Gastronomy tour.
This tour is aimed at discovering the history, architecture, art and vibrant food and wine scene of Málaga city. The tour starts meeting your personal local host at your hotel in Málaga to start your discovery journey of the city. Then you will start your private walking tour by learning first about the origins and evolution of the city. This first part of the tour will take you to see the oldest (and most impressive) landmarks: the Roman theater and the Moorish fortress: the so-called Alcazaba. This will allow you to travel back in time in order to understand the important settlement that the city was both in the Roman and in the Hispanic-Muslim periods as well as its evolution until the present times. The Alcazaba is a fantastic sample of Hispanic-Muslim architecture that also offers beautiful views of the city due to its location on top of a hill.
After this first part of the tour, you will be taken on a private relaxed tour of the Picasso Museum of Málaga or the Picasso House-Museum. There you will learn about the life and work of the most iconic local artist through some of the most representative paintings that these places have.
Your introduction to the history and architecture of Málaga will surely make you feel like gaining an understanding of the present culture and personality of the city and you will enjoy this during a tapas and wines journey through the old town. You will experience this genuinely Spanish approach to enjoying a meal by visiting two different tapas bars, where you will taste a selection of local dishes and wines.
Then, after your tapas tour, you will be escorted back to your hotel or be given recommendations to enjoy the rest of your day in the city at leisure.
2:30pm: end of the tour.
