Description and schedule of services

25th of April 2025: day trip from Cadiz to Jerez to visit smaller premium sherry producers privately
–
9am: meet your personal sherry host (a certified sherry educator by the Sherry Regulatory Board and Brandy Educator by the Sherry Brandy Regulatory Board) at your hotel in Cadiz and be transferred in a modern and comfortable Mercedes vehicle with a dedicated driver to Jerez. Along the way, you will be given an introduction about the present context of the wine making scene in the Sherry triangle.

9:35am: upon arrival to Jerez, start a panoramic tour of the city aimed at setting the context for your stay in the city. During this panoramic tour you will start learning about its Hispanic-Muslim origins and about the transformations (architecture, urban planning, social composition and overall character) that it experienced in the 13th century after the Christian conquest and mostly in the 18th and 19th centuries when the local wines (sherries) became probably the most fashionable drinks in the world.

10am: end of your introductory panoramic tour in a first winery specialized in Very Old Rare Sherries and Sherry Brandy. Private visit to the winery with tastings of selected Very Old Rare Sherries straight from the cask and also of their Sherry Brandy. Explanations about the production and aging of Sherry and Sherry Brandy in the Sherry Triangle.

11:30m: end of the visit to the first winery and continuation of your exploration of Jerez. This part of the tour will also include a visit to the local market, aimed at understanding the produce that shapes the local gastronomy, the very important proximity service the market is for the local community and the important role it plays in the social fabric of the city.

12:30pm: arrival to this second small and family owned and family run bodega specializing in en-rama sherries (no filtration, no stabilization, no clarification). Then private visit with the owner with a vertical tasting of their en-rama fino to understand its evolution in the solera and criadera system. This will be followed by a tasting of their oxidative sherries too.

1:45pm: end of the visit and transfer to a selected local venta for lunch. Ventas are traditional restaurants outside cities that keep their reverence towards quality local produce and recipes. Along the way you will be explained about the origins of ventas and about how they have been able to adapt to modern times without losing their core values.

2:05pm: arrival to the venta and pairing lunch there. Starters, mains and dessert all paired with selected sherries.

3:45pm: end of lunch and transfer back to your hotel in Cadiz.

4:30pm: arrival to your hotel in Cadiz and end of services for the day.

26th of April 2025: day trip from Cadiz to Sanlúcar to visit Barbadillo and have lunch in town

11am: meet your personal driver at your accommodation in Cádiz and be transferred in a modern and comfortable Mercedes vehicle to Sanlúcar old town.

11:40am: upon arrival to Sanlucar old town, enjoy some free time to explore at leisure. We will give you recommendations for you to make the most of your time in Sanlúcar, which will be very lively on a Saturday morning.

12:45pm: reconnect with your driver at a previously agreed upon meeting point and be transferred to Barbadillo for your visit.

12:55pm: arrival to Barbadillo on time for your visit at 1pm.

1pm: your visit to Barbadillo starts.

2:30pm: end of your visit and private transfer to a selected local restaurant in Sanlúcar for lunch (we will give you recommendations).

2:45pm: arrival to the restaurant and lunch there.

4:15pm: end of lunch and private transfer back to your accommodation in Cádiz.

5pm: arrival to your accommodation in Cadiz and end of services for the day.

Confirmation and payments
In order to confirm this tour program we need a 30% deposit of the grand total no later than the 19th of March 2025. The final 70% must be paid no later than 15 days prior to the start of the first tour.

Cancellation policy
– If you cancel your tour program more than 15 days prior to its scheduled start, we will charge the 30% deposit only.
– If you cancel your tour program between 15 and 8 days prior to its scheduled start, we will charge 50% of the full cost of the tour program and we will refund the remaining 50%.
– If you cancel your tour program between 7 and 3 days prior to its scheduled start, we will charge 75% of the full cost of the tour program and we will refund the remaining 25%.
– If you cancel your tour program 2 days or less prior to its scheduled start, we will charge 100% of the full cost of the tour program.
