The Alhambra was a palatial town, formed by different parts, all of which you will get to discover with your local host in order to understand how they all worked together, the role that each of them had and the different people who inhabited them. After your tour of the Alhambra you will be taken to the Generalife or summer palace of the Nasrid Sultans, where they would go to get away from the hustle of life in the Alhambra. The Generalife is a magical place designed for relax and contemplation and its gardens, architecture and views are simply spectacular.

12:45pm: arrival to Seville and free time to check-in and relax before your evening welcome tour.
6:30pm: be met by your personal local host to go on a private flamenco and tapas tour of Seville old town. This tour focuses on two of the most representative living traditions, one artistic and one gastronomical, of Southern Spain and it’s ideal for the curious travelers willing to experience both from a local perspective.
The tour starts with a short walking tour of Seville old town through which you’ll learn how flamenco emerged in South West Spain as a result of a slow fusion of the ancient multicultural musical heritage of Southern Spain with the original gypsy rhythms and musical roots. This will set the context for (and enhance the appreciation of) the selected flamenco performance in a small and intimate venue that will follow, with 4 people onstage: a guitar player, a singer and two dancers.
After the performance, you will be taken on a tapas tour of Seville old town by your local host. You will visit two or three selected bars where the locals like to gather with friends and family and where you will taste a selection of 6 – 9 tapas dishes to share that you’ll be able to pair with the corresponding wines. This will give you an understanding of what to go for tapas means in Seville, of how it is enjoyed, shared and celebrated. Then you’ll be escorted back to your hotel stopping along the way for a sweet local indulgence.
11pm: end of the tour back at your hotel.
Overnight in Seville (Andrea, husband and daughter).
11th of March: private walking tour of Seville World Heritage Sites.
10am: be met your personal local host at your hotel to take a private walking tour of Seville’s most impressive World Heritage Sites (the Alcazar and the Cathedral) and of the iconic quarter of Santa Cruz. You will start your discovery journey visiting the Alcazar which is a massive complex of palaces erected in different periods and of breath-taking gardens of different styles. The Alcazar has stunning historical constructions featuring a very particular crossover between Hispanic-Muslim and Christian architecture styles, called Mudejar. This style became very fashionable in Seville in the 14th and 15th centuries amongst the Christian nobility and it reached its maximum splendour in Seville. Another essential part of the Alcazar is the famous house of Trade, which once hosted the offices from where all the commerce with the new world was managed. After enjoying these inner areas, you will be taken to the gardens which are an exquisite sample of European gardening from the 16th until the 20th centuries.
Then you will be taken to visit the Cathedral, which is the largest gothic temple in the World and where Christopher Columbus is buried. The Cathedral of Seville was erected on a vast extension of land where previously a Mosque had been erected. An important part of the Mosque was preserved and it is now a part of the Cathedral. This makes it a unique construction featuring styles as diverse as Hispanic-Muslim, Gothic, Renaissance, Neoclassical and Baroque. Finally, you will explore the Jewish quarter (Santa Cruz) with its narrow streets, houses of traditional architecture, countless quaint corners and cozy squares.
This tour will allow you to discover the fascinating history of Seville through its most impressive buildings and its most iconic quarter.
