20th of February: private culture and gastronomy tour of Málaga old town:

10am: be met by your personal local host at your accommodation and start learning about the origins and evolution of the city of Málaga by visiting first its oldest landmarks: its Roman theatre and its moorish fortress: the so-called Alcazaba. This will allow you to travel back in time in order to understand the important settlement the city was both in the Roman and in the Hispanic-Muslim periods and its evolution until the present times.

12pm: finish your introductory history walk at the Picasso Museum and take a private walking tour aimed at learning about the life and work of the most iconic local artist through some of the most representative paintings that the museum collection has. 

1pm: end of your tour of the museum and tapas and wines lunch through 2 selected local bars of Málaga old town. During your journey you will taste a selection of 5 tapas and 3 wines per person and you will understand the vibrant foodie hub that Málaga is becoming.

3pm: end of the tour and rest of the day at leisure.

24th of February: Jerez. History, wines and gastronomy of the sherry capital:

9:30am: meet your personal local host at your hotel and start a private walking tour of Jerez old town aimed at understanding its Hispanic-Muslim origins and the transformations (architecture, urban-planning and social composition) that the city experienced in the 13th century with the Christian conquest and later in the 18th and 19th centuries when the local wines became probably the most fashionable drinks in the world.

11am: end of your introductory tour of the city in a selected sherry bodega and private visit aimed at learning about the aging of the different types of sherries. This will be followed by the corresponding tastings and by some basic notions about the art of pairing food and sherry.

12:30pm: taxi transfer from the bodega to a selected vineyard in the countryside outside Jerez.

12:50pm: upon arrival to the vineyard, be met by the owner and start a private walking tour of the property aimed at learning the particularities of the soil, of the climate, of the grapes and of the soil that make sherry so unique. Your tour will finish in the private bodega of the owner where he makes and ages sherries only for him and his family. There you will do a second round of (artisanal) sherries accompanied by a selection of tapas.

2:30pm: after your tasting, you will be called for a homemade lunch in the vineyard house of the owner cooked on site by his wife and including starters, mains, desserts and sherry.

4pm: farewell sherry cocktail before traveling back to Jerez old town.

4:30pm: taxi transfer back to Jerez old town.

4:50pm: arrival to Jerez old town and end of services for the day.

25th of February: Culture and gastronomy tour of Cadiz old town:

9:36am: departure of your train from Jerez station to Cadiz.

10:13am: upon arrival of your train to Cadiz, meet your personal local host and start a private walking tour of the city with a special focus on the foundation of the city by the Phoenicians 3000 years ago and on the period when the city held the monopoly of all trade with America (formerly established in Seville). Along the tour you will visit selected buildings representative of the wealth and refinement that the city enjoyed in both period.

12:45pm: end of your introductory walking tour in the local market of Cádiz and private walking tour of the market with tastings of selected local produce in hand-picked stalls.

1:15pm: end of the tour of the market and aperitif in a selected local tavern to have a tasting of the wines that traveled from Cadiz to the new world.

2pm: tapas and wines lunch in a selected family owned and family run tapas bar of Cádiz old town.

3:15pm: end of lunch and walk back to the train station.

3:30pm: arrival to the train station on time to take the train to Jerez at 3:40pm.

3:40pm: departure of the train to Jerez.

4:14pm: arrival of your train to Jerez.

27th of February: day trip from Jerez to the white villages of Arcos de la Frontera, Medina-Sidonia and Vejer de la Frontera:

Price of this bespoke tour program for a private group of 2 people: 1065 Euros per person.

in order to confirm this tour program we required a 30% deposit, which has already been paid. The remaining 70% must be paid no later than 30 days prior to the start of the tour program.

Cancellation policy:

– More than 30 days prior to the start of the tour program: deposit only.

– 30 – 7 days prior to the start of the tour program: 50% of the full cost of the tour program.

– 6 – 3 days prior to the start of the tour program: 75% of the full cost of the tour program.

– 2 days or less: 100% of the full cost of the tour program.
