Description and schedule of services

3rd of March: arrival to Madrid and day at leisure to recover from your flight

8:45am: upon arrival to Madrid airport (Flight DL108), collect your luggage, walk to the arrivals hall and meet your personal driver there. He will be waiting for you there holding a sign saying “Jessica, Corey, Gwyneth and Siena – Genuine Andalusia”. Then be transferred in a modern and comfortable Mercedes minivan to your hotel in Madrid.

10am (estimated): arrival to your hotel in Madrid and rest of the day at leisure to relax and recover from your flight. We will give you recommendations of things to do and see in Madrid in your free time and also of places to eat. We will also book tables in restaurants for you if you like (as long as credit/debit cards are not needed to complete the reservation in which case we will send you instructions on how to book yourselves).

4th of March: day at leisure in Madrid

6th of March: from Madrid to Seville vía Córdoba to see the Great Mosque – Cathedral on your own

8:40am: meet your personal driver at your hotel and be transferred in a modern and comfortable Mercedes minivan to Madrid train station.

9am: arrival to Madrid train station on time to take your high-speed train to Códoba.

9:35am: departure of your high-speed train from Madrid to Córdoba (1st class seats).

11:35am: upon arrival to Córdoba train station, meet your personal driver and be transferred in a modern and comfortable Mercedes minivan to Córdoba old town.

11:55am: upon arrival to Córdoba old town, enjoy some free time at leisure. We will give you recommendations of things to do and see in Córdoba and of places to eat too.

3pm: reconnect with your private driver at a previously agreed meeting point and be transferred from Cordoba old town to your hotel in Seville.

4:45pm: arrival to your hotel in Seville and end of services for the day. We will give you recommendations of things to do and see in Seville in your free time and also of places to eat. We will also book tables in restaurants for you if you like (as long as credit/debit cards are not needed to complete the reservation in which case we will send you instructions on how to book yourselves).

7th of March: evening flamenco performance in a selected flamenco venue

7pm: make your own way from your hotel to a selected flamenco venue in Seville old town where we will have booked tickets for you.

7:20pm: upon arrival to the venue, collect your tickets at the counter and be escorted to your seats to enjoy the show.

7:30pm: start of the show with 4 performers onstage: 2 dancers, 1 singer and 1 guitarist.

8:30pm: end of the show and rest of the evening at leisure.

8th of March: morning at leisure and late afternoon visit to a selected ceramics and tile workshop to learn about Seville ceramics and tiles with the owner.

All morning: enjoy your morning at leisure, maybe following our recommendations.

5pm: meet your personal local host at your hotel and start a short walk to the quarter of Triana, home to local potters, ceramicists and flamenco artists. Along the way, your personal local host will introduce you to the history, architecture, lifestyle and traditions of the quarter while they also offer you an overview of the origins and evolution of flamenco music in order for you to learn more about this form of Spanish art after having witnessed a performance the day before

5:45pm: your introductory walk will finish at the workshop of a local ceramicist and tile designer and maker. Once there, you will be introduced to the ceramicist to later learn with her the different tile-making techniques that have been used in Seville since the Moorish times until today.

Then you will be explained how she designs and crafts her tiles while she shows you different designs. After this you will be able to discuss different designs, colors and textures that you may want to use for a tile panel in your kitchen. She will give you options, prices and different ideas after studying your preferences during your visit to her workshop.

7pm: end of the visit to the workshop and rest of the day at leisure.

9th of March: half-day trip from Seville to visit a farm of brave bulls and Spanish horses

9:30am: meet your personal local host at your hotel and be transferred in a modern and comfortable Mercedes minivan with a dedicated driver to a selected farm of brave bulls and Spanish horses in the countryside outside Seville.

10:30am: upon arrival to the farm, be welcome by the owner, who will show you first the family estate while giving you an introduction about the history of breeding brave bulls in the family. Then it will be time to get on a 4 x 4 vehicle to go and explore the areas where their brave bulls are bred.

Along the journey you will learn about the art of breeding brave bulls. From the selection of the mother cows and breeding bulls, to the identification of the characteristics that are demanded by different bullrings in Spain for the bullfights. Then you will learn what being a farmer of brave bulls is like in the middle of the 21st century. Then visit the family stables to see the Spanish horses they have. Learn about their morphology and history and also about the special occasions when the family ride their horses and use their horse carriages for festivals and traditional events.

1pm: reconnect with your private driver and be transferred back to your hotel in Seville.

2pm: arrival to your hotel in Seville and rest of the day at leisure.

10th of March: domestic flight from Seville to Barcelona and day at leisure in Barcelona

10:10am: meet your personal driver at your accommodation and be transferred in a modern and comfortable Mercedes minivan to Seville airport.

10:40am: arrival to Seville airport on time to take your flight to Barcelona at 12:40pm.

12:40pm: departure of your flight from Seville to Barcelona (Vueling airlines VY2223). Your luggage allowance per person will be a checked-in bag of up to 20kg, a cabin bag of up to 10kg (55 x 40 x 20cm maximum) and a small handbag.

2:30pm: upon arrival of your flight to Barcelona airport, collect your luggage, walk to the arrivals hall and meet your personal driver there. He will be holding a sign saying “Jessica, Corey, Gwyneth and Siena – Genuine Andalusia”. Then be transferred in a modern and comfortable Mercedes minivan to your hotel in Barcelona.

3:45pm (estimated): arrival to your accommodation in Barcelona and end of services for the day. The cost of this bespoke trip for a private group of 4 people is 17850 Euros

– High-speed train tickets (1st class seats) to travel from Madrid to Córdoba on the 6th of March.
– Tickets to see the Great Mosque Cathedral in Córdoba (at your own leisure).
– A private visit with a personal local host (a knowledgeable, personable, kind, flexible and interactive fully licensed guide with a great command of the English language) to a selected ceramics and tile workshop in Seville so you can learn about their production and decoration techniques with the owners and discuss a bespoke project for your house with them.
– Admission to a selected flamenco performance in Seville with 4 people onstage (2 dancers, 1 singer and 1 guitarist).
– A private half day trip with a personal local host (a knowledgeable, personable, kind, flexible and interactive fully licensed guide with a great command of the English language) to a selected farm of brave bulls and Spanish horses with the owner.

Confirmation and payments
In order to confirm this trip at this price we require a 15% deposit of the grand total via credit/debit card no later than the 10th of January 2024 at 11:59pm (Madrid time). The final 85% must be paid via the same method no later than 30 days prior to the start of the trip. If you wish to confirm at a later stage we will need to re quote the trip.

(*) We will also need your passport numbers, your dates of birth and the expiry dates of your passports (necessary to book your train tickets and your flights).

Grand total of this bespoke trip: 17850 Euros

15% deposit needed no later than the 10th of January at 11:59pm (Madrid time) to confirm the trip: 2677,5 Euros

Final 85% needed no later than 30 days prior to the start of the trip to pay it in full: 15172,5 Euros

Cancellation policy
– If you cancel your trip more than 30 days prior to its scheduled start we will charge the 15% deposit only.
– If you cancel your trip between 30 and 15 days prior to its scheduled start we will charge 25% of the full cost of the trip and we will refund the remaining 75%.
– If you cancel your trip between 14 and 4 days prior to its scheduled start, we will charge 35% of the full cost of the trip and we will refund the remaining 65%
– If you cancel your trip 3 days or less prior to its scheduled start, we will charge 100% of the full cost of the trip.
(*) Genuine Andalusia strongly recommends purchasing travel insurance for any international trip. Most of our US guests book their travel insurance through MedJet.
(**) Please note that partial cancellations won’t result in partial refunds. This applies to the group size and to the duration, services and activities of the trip.
(***) If Spain closes its borders due to a national or global emergency and you are not able to enter the country due to this closure of the Spanish borders, we will give you a full refund.
