Description: the Sherry capital is filled with authenticity and character and one of the most exciting ways to experience its local vibrancy is to venture into its old town bars, market stalls and ancient bodegas with your own private local host. This tour will allow you to understand the past and present identity of the city as you taste and are explained about its many local food and wine treats in selected local spots. Your tour will start with an introductory walk aimed at learning about the Hispanic Muslim origins and of the city and about the transformations that it experienced with the Christian conquest in the 13th century and later in the 18th and 19th centuries when the local wines (sherries) became probably the most fashionable drinks in the world. Then, you will be taken on a walk around the local market. This will allow you to understand not only the essential resource it is for the local community but also the very important role that it plays in the social fabric of the city. After the market, you will visit a selected sherry bodega. There you will be explained the aging process of the different types of sherry, and you will do the corresponding tastings while you are also given some basic notions about the art of pairing food and sherry. Then, you will put this knowledge into practice during a tapas and sherries lunch in a local sherry bar. You will then be explained how much sherry can boost the flavors of different foods and how this is now being discovered by very important chefs all around the world. Then after the tour you will be escorted back to your hotel.

Confirmations and payments:
In order to confirm this private tour we require a 30% deposit of the grand total no later than the 23rd of February 2025 via credit/debit. The final 70% must be paid no later than 15 days prior to the start of the day trip.

30% deposit needed no later than the 23rd of February to confirm the tour: 237,6 Euros.

Final 70% needed no later than 15 days prior to the start of the tour to pay it in full: 554,4 Euros.

Cancellation policy:
– If you cancel your tour more than 15 days prior to scheduled departure, we will charge the 30% deposit only.
– If you cancel your tour between 14 and 8 days prior to scheduled departure, we will charge 50% of the grand total of the tour and we will refund the remaining 50%.
– If you cancel your tour between 7 and 3 days prior to scheduled departure, we will charge 70% of the grand total of the tour and we will refund the remaining 30%.
– If you cancel your tour 2 days or less prior to scheduled departure, we will charge 100% of the full cost of the tour.
(*) Please note that partial cancellations won’t result in partial refunds. This applies to the group size and to the duration, activities and services included in the trip.
