4th of October 2022: private day trip from Seville to Jerez

8:39pm: departure of your train from Seville to Jerez.

9:39am: upon arrival to Jerez train station, meet your personal sherry host there to start a private walking tour of the old town with a special focus on its Hispanic-Muslim origins and on the transformations that it experienced (architecture, urban-planning, social composition and overall character) with the Christian conquest in the 13th century and later in the 18th and 19th centuries when the local wines (sherries) became probably the most fashionable drinks in the world.

Your tour will also include a private visit to the local market in order to understand not only the essential proximity service it is for the local community but also the important role it plays in the social fabric of the city. At the market you may want to have a tasting of a common mid morning treat that the locals like to enjoy: churros and coffee or chocolate.

11:30am: end of your introductory walking tour in a selected sherry bodega and private visit aimed at learning about the ageing process of the different types of sherry. This will be followed by the corresponding tastings and by some basic notions about the local art of pairing food and sherry.

1pm: end of the visit to the sherry bodega and short walk to a selected sherry and tapas restaurant.

1:15pm: arrival to the sherry and tapas restaurant and tapas and sherries lunch there. Further notions about the art of pairing food and sherry will be given through a pairing lunch including a selection of 5 – 8 dishes to share and up to 4 sherries per person.

2:45pm: end of lunch and rest of the afternoon at leisure before your train back to Seville. Your personal local host will give you recommendations to make the most of your free time in the city.

6:15pm: departure of your train from Jerez train station to Seville.

7:20pm: arrival of your train to Seville train station.

Confirmation and payments
In order to confirm this tour, we require a 20% deposit of the grand total via credit/debit card no later than the 22 of August 2022. The final 80% must be paid via the same method no later than 7 days prior to the start of the tour.

Cancellation policy
– If you cancel the tour more than 7 days prior to scheduled departure, we will charge the 20% deposit only.
– If you cancel your tour between 7 and 5 days prior to scheduled departure, we will charge 50% of the full cost of the tour and we will refund the other 50%.
– If you cancel your tour between 4 and 3 days prior to scheduled departure, we will charge 75% of the full cost of the tour and we will refund the other 25%.
– If you cancel your tour 48h or less prior to scheduled departure, we will charge 100% of the full cost of the tour.
