Description and schedule of services:

3rd of April (Friday): arrival to Málaga and private transfer to Seville:

12:05pm: arrival to Málaga airport and private transfer in a modern and comfortable minibus to your hotel in Seville. Your driver will be waiting for you at the arrivals hall of Málaga airport holding a sign saying “Nordman family – Genuine Andalusia”.

3pm: arrival to your hotel in Seville and rest of the day at leisure.

Overnight in Seville: 7 grand deluxe rooms (1 with king size bed for single use, 3 with king size beds for double use and 3 with twin beds and an extra bed each for triple use) with breakfast included in Hotel Alfonso XIII Seville (*****).

 

4th of April (Saturday): day trip to Cádiz from Seville:

9:15am: meet your personal local host by the reception desk of your hotel and be transferred in a modern and comfortable minibus to the city of Cádiz.

11am: upon arrival to Cadiz, be taken on a walking tour of the old town with a special focus on the foundation of the city by the Phoenicians 3000 years ago and on the period when it held the monopoly of all trade with America (18th century) formerly established in Seville. Along the way you will visit selected building representative of the development and wealth that the city had in both periods.

12:30pm: after this introductory culture walk, you will continue exploring the city but focusing now on its gastronomy. You will be taken to visit the local market where you will do some tastings of selected local delicacies in hand-picked stalls. From there, you will be taken to a small tavern to learn about (and to taste!) the famous fortified wines that traveled from Cadiz to America.

2pm: Then, and surely hungry, you will be taken for lunch to a family owned and family run tapas bar in Cadiz old town where you will get to enjoy the local gastronomy. 

2:45pm: after finishing lunch, a coffee with local sweets in a historical cafe will make an excellent finish for your stay in Cádiz before being transferred back to Seville.

3:30pm: private transfer back to Seville.

5:15pm: arrival to Seville and end of services for the day.

5th of April (Palm Sunday): the Moorish palace of Seville and an introduction to the most popular tradition of Seville through its architecture and art. (7 adults only for this tour)

9:30am: be met by your personal local host at your hotel to start a private walking tour of the Alcazar of the city which is its most impressive landmark. The Alcazar is a vast complex of Royal Palaces and lush gardens featuring a stunning crossover of Hispanic-Muslim and Christian architecture styles called mudejar which is almost unique to Seville. A tour through the Alcazar will allow you to travel through the history of the city and to visit the so-called “house of trade” which was the centre of universal trade in the 16th and 17th centuries after the discovery of America.

11:30am: end of your visit to the Alcazar and walking tour of Seville old town with a special focus on the very special date that Palm Sunday is. During your tour you will learn about the origins of the famous processions that will start to parade around town in the late afternoon this day. You will get to visit 2 – 3 impressive Christian temples where the Easter week floats will be ready for the processions the following days. You will understand the very important role that sculpture plays in the local culture and traditions while you enjoy some of the most beautiful examples of sculpture that Seville treasures.

1pm: end of your tour and rest of the day at leisure.

6th of April (Monday): from Seville to Granada vía Carmona and Córdoba:

9am: private transfer from Seville to Carmona in a modern and comfortable minibus with your own personal driver.

9:45am: upon arrival to Carmona, be met by your personal local host to start a private walking tour of the old town with a special focus on its monumental temples and grand noble residences. During your tour, you will be explained about the fascinating history of the city and about the many different civilizations (Romans, Jews, Muslims and Christians) that have inhabited it throughout the centuries. Your tour will have a special focus on the Jewish quarter of the city and on those areas that concentrate the highest density of historical buildings or remarkable beauty.

11:30pm: end of your tour of Carmona and private transfer to Córdoba.

1pm: arrival to Córdoba and free time for lunch (recommendations of places to go for lunch will be given and a table will be booked for you if you wish).

3pm: meet your personal local host at the restaurant to start a private walking tour of Cordoba old town including the Great Mosque – Cathedral and the Jewish quarter.

5pm: end of your walking tour and private transfer from Córdoba to Granada.

7:30pm: arrival to Granada and end of services for the day.

Overnight in Granada. One double room for single occupancy, three double rooms and three triple rooms with breakfast included in hotel Vincci Albayzín (****).

 

7th of April (Tuesday): the Alhambra and el Generalife in the morning and flamenco show in the evening:

9:30am: be met by your personal Alhambra expert at our hotel and be transferred in a modern and comfortable minibus to the hill of la Sabika where the Alhambra and el Generalife are located.

10am: upon arrival to the Alhambra, start a private walking tour of the site aimed at discovering the history and magnificence of the most splendorous construction that the Hispanic-Muslim culture erected in Andalusia. During your tour you will visit all the areas of the Alhambra and of el Generalife or summer palace of the Nasrid sultans.

1pm: end of your tour and free time until the evening.

6:45pm: leave your hotel to go on foot to a selected flamenco venue where you will have tickets to witness a traditional flamenco show at 

7:30pm: flamenco show (self-guided activity).

8:30pm: end of the show and rest of the day at leisure.

Overnight in Granada. One double room for single occupancy, three double rooms and three triple rooms with breakfast included in hotel Vincci Albayzín (****).

 

8th of April (Wednesday): from Granada to Ronda:

10am: private transfer from Granada to Ronda in a modern and comfortable minibus.

12:30pm: arrival to Ronda and rest of the day at leisure to check-in, explore the town, to have lunch and to get ready for your passover celebration.

8pm: passover dinner in a private area of the restaurant of your hotel. This area of the restaurant will be booked for you to enjoy your family dinner there.

9th of April (Thursday): hike in the Genal Valley and homemade lunch with a wine tasting in one of its whitewashed rural villages.

9am: meet your personal nature guide at your hotel and be transferred in a modern and comfortable minibus to the village of Benadalid.

9:30am: arrival to the village of Benadalid to start a circular 9km guided hike through this magical part of the province of Southern Spain. You will first be explained about the bereber origins of Benadalid which still keeps its Moorish castle converted today in a cementery, to later take the old paths that the cork workers used to use in the past to transport the cork that they would harvest every 9 years and that are actually still in use today. You will go through vast extension of Mediterranean forest filled with old olive trees, chestnut trees, holm oaks and cork oaks. You will be explained about the many species of flora that you will see and how they have been used by the people of the area throughout the centuries.

12pm: Halfway along the walk, you will find the village of Benalauría where you will take a small guided tour of the village along which you will meet some local inhabitants who will share with you key aspects about the life and dynamics of the village. Your tour will finish in the tiny cellar of a local winemaker, who will show you his winery and who will offer you a homemade lunch there, paired with his wines.

3:30pm: after lunch and with a happy belly and a happy soul, you will take a walk back to where your tour started in order to walk off your food and enjoy a very scenic and different way back.

4:30pm: arrival to the village of Benadalid and transfer back to your hotel in Ronda.

5pm: arrival to your hotel in Ronda and end of services for the day

10th of April (Friday): private transfer from Ronda to Málaga airport.

9:30am: private transfer form your hotel in Ronda to Málaga airport.

11am: arrival to Málaga airport and end of trip.-

This price includes:

– 7 nights accommodation with breakfast included as per mentioned above.

– All private transportation services mentioned above in a modern and comfortable minibus with a dedicated driver.

– All private guided tours and experiences mentioned above with a personal local host from Genuine Andalusia.

– All entrance tickets, admissions and tastings during these tours.

– A tapas lunch in a family owned and family run tapas bar in Cádiz old town with a selection of 5 – 8 dishes to share and up to 3 drinks per person (beer / wine / refreshments / sherry / water).

– A coffee / tea with traditional local sweets in a selected cafe of Cadiz old town.

– Tickets to see a selected flamenco performance in Granada (self-guided activity).

– A homemade lunch in a selected small winery in the village of Benalauría including starters, mains, dessert, soft drinks and wine.

– Petrol, parkings, tolls and all expenses of your drivers and of your guides.

– Recommendations of things to do and see and of places to go for food during your free time in each destination.

 

This price excludes:

– Flights.

– Any meals not mentioned right above.

– Anything else not mentioned right above.

 

Confirmation and payments:

In order to confirm this program of tours we require a 30% deposit of the grand total no later than the 1st of December 2019 via credit/debit card or bank transfer (bank details were provided in a proforma invoice). The remaining 70% of the grand total must be paid no later than 45 days prior to the start of the tour.

 

Distribution of payments:

As per requested by our client: the 30% deposit and the remaining 70% of the grand total will be paid separately as follows:

Rachel: 11,5% of the grand total.

Dan, Adi, Omer, Ido & Maya: 29,5% of the grand total

Efrat. Itay, Romi, Dana and Noga: 29,5% of the grand total

Eynat, Ady, Yotam, Jonathan & Inbar: 29,5% of the grand total.

Cancellation policy:

– If you cancelled more than 30 days prior to the start of the tour: we’d charge 30% of the grand total of the trip and we’d refund the remaining funds you may have paid at that point.

– If you cancelled between 30 and 9 days prior to the start of the tour: we’d charge 50% of the grand total of the trip and we’d refund 50% of the grand total of the trip.

– If you cancelled 8 days or less prior to the start of the trip, we’d charge 100% of the full cost of the trip.
